Exhibitions and fairs, 2017
November 8 to 12, 2017 at the Grand Palais, stand A 01
The Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes series was created during a period of research at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Criminological Sciences (INMLCF) in Portugal. Over a period of three years, Edgar Martins took more than a thousand photographs and scanned over three thousand negatives from the Institute's extraordinary collection.
Briac Leprêtre presents a series of watercolors that meticulously depict the banality of everyday life.
Thomas Tudoux's wax trophies and ex-voto paintings inspired by the Guinness Book of Records point with wry humor to the contemporary cult of performance.
The exhibition was enlivened by the duo Antonin Margaux, who live-printed proposals imagined by Briac Leprêtre and Thomas Tudoux using their Charrette, a mobile screen-printing device.
