Galerie Melanie Rio Fluency, founded in Nantes in 2009, is a protean player in contemporary art. The gallery produces artistic projects, proposes ephemeral exhibitions and collaborations with art venues, and advises companies and promoters on artistic commissions.
Formerly melanieRio, in 2018 the gallery changes its name and format, leaving the former hôtel particulier on boulevard Guist'hau and moving into a new space designed by Agence Unité Eduardo Souto de Moura arquitectos. The space is located on the Île de Nantes, in the heart of Nantes' artistic effervescence.
The gallery represents fourteen artists and is now dedicated to presenting a dynamic program of contemporary art events combining short exhibitions, invitations to art publishers and partnerships with cultural entities such as the Ecole des Arts, music platforms and designers. Our Parisian space hosts one-off meetings and events with artists and collectors, especially at fairs such as Paris Photo.
Mélanie Rio, gallery owner
Milena Stagni, project manager
with Anaick Moriceau - serigraphs -, Antoinette Parrau - creator of Parisrennes - and Mathieu Renard - Lendroit éditions, during the Novedena #03 event at the gallery in April 2019.
