then on view by appointment until July 30
Silvana Reggiardo's relationship with photography is based on a sensitive experience: the experience of walking, of space, a visual experience. Without seeking to document reality, Silvana Reggiardo records light, photographs air, captures variations in color on urban windows, in an approach that apprehends the photographic tool above all as an object of vision rather than an instrument of capture. On the occasion of her exhibition at the gallery, she presents a set of 27 images from La Mercuriale, which reflects her Quoditian practice of photographing the same view from her window, where each new shot offers a new experience of light, as well as two new large-format prints from her latest Destiempo series.
Born in Argentina in 1967, photographer Silvana Reggiardo lives and works in Paris. She has dual training in photography, multimedia and the humanities. Urban spaces are her preferred field of experience.
Her work was recently presented in Lyon by Le bleue du ciel, at Occurrence, Espace d'art et d'essai contemporain, Montréal, Québec, at CPIF -Centre photographique d'Ile-de- France, Pontault-Combault, at Festival fotoencuentros, Murcia/ Cartagena (ES), and was also the subject of a solo show on the gallery's stand at Paris Photo 2018 at the Grand Palais in Paris.
His images can be found in public and private collections, including the Frac Haute-Normandie, the Artothèque de Caen, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the Carnavalet museum and the Cajamurcia foundation.
